SOURCE: tail lights work but brake
Simple test: access the brake bulb, keep the brake pedal pressed a little (use a too box or something similar) and measure the voltage between the central connector on the bulb and the bare metal of the body of the truck - if you get 12 volts then there is a defect in the wiring inside the rear lights, if you don't get 12 volts then either the switch that commands them (on the brake pedal) is faulty or the wiring that connects them to the rear bulbs has a break in it.
Do another simple test: take the brake pedal switch apart and join the 2 contact wires in there: if the lights light up then the switch is faulty, if they still don't then the wiring is faulty. If it's the latter you will gonna have a lot of work to find out where the break is - in the worst case scenario it will be under the carpet so the entire interior of the truck will have to be taken out to access it. it will be a very big job, better left to a repair shop.

Hi!
Maybe you have a problem with a brake switch or the bulbs. because the bulb has two heads in side one for the brakes and one for the tail lights. take the bulb out ad see if the both heads are ok and not broken, They are just tow springs. If they look ok,Then check the brake switch thats usually under brake pedal. Good luck
Any Thumbs Up would be appreciated.

do the front marker/park lights work if not you could have a bad light switch on the tail light side of the switch.you need to check the brown wire at the back of the truck in the wiring harness as this is the tail light wire that feeds the bulbs.if you have power there then you will have to check for power at the socket,if no power at the socket but were you check the wire then there is a problem between the two that you will have to check out.if there is no power when checking the wire then you will have to check for lose of power between the switch and rear wiring.make sure the fuse is good by using a test light and not by looking as sometimes they look good but don`t work.
