CD Player in Acura TL 3.2 2003

thats a lazer problem in the cd usually a cd cleaning disk will sort that problem if not a its the lazer head thats distorted best this to do it put a conversion tape to ipod or iphone and play your tunes off those devices via your tape, there only cheap to buy.

so is this a stock RAD/cd?
stock JBL 6 disk player in dash>? or? what? name and model #
mp3 and wma format. but not DVD
or
JBL premium 4-disc in-dash CD changer
io the single disc player, 3 kinds sold. new.

and now comes the big question.
TELLS where you got the disk, or name it, or tell how it was made if home made. we dont know that.

is said CD a CDDA? or not. (always try CDDA first)
is CD a real music disc. from a real store, CDDA, is that.
or CDR, or DVDr, or CDRW, or other record-able media
is music MP3? files.
see, the old units dont play modern media.

try 2 real discs, not scratched.
do they play?
one other way, is to name the radio, brand, like JBL then get the
p/n off it. (hard) then look up the product data sheet on it,
bingo, what it can and can not do is there.

you need to just replace the unit, Acura is having a problem with someof these radios units goign bad, sorry to hear that

it is probably the format the music was burned on the cd,,,it could also be the cd player,some are more sensitive to burnt cds,,,

Try this as the stereo may need to be reset- If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. that model is the older cd player so the newer cds are more compersed so the laser well not read it

unfortuinetly tis is the code for a defective laser in the unit. It will need to be sent in for repair.

Problem solved by removing a CD with a thicj paper label causing Error. MP3 CD's are working fine now.
