Question about 1991 Chevrolet Corsica
Is their an access panel above the fuel tank on a 1991 Chevrolet Corsica to be able to replace the fuel pump?
Only a few import cars have access panels.
Most american made cars require the gas tank to come out to get to the pump.

My 2002 Impala has the panel in the trunk. I took the panel off and the fuel pump is accessible. I will probably attempt to replace the fuel pump myself since the fuel gauge does not work anymore and the dealership indicated that the problem was the fuel level float connected to the fuel pump.
Does anyone know if there is anything special I need to do prior to replacing the fuel pump, such as draining the fuel, etc...? I was planning to at least run the car until I was near empty.
FYI, here is a link to a set of videos about replacing fuel pumps. It's a set of 13 short video clips. http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video/how-to-repair-or-replace-a-fuel-pump-226058/
