This applies to 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 4.3L V6 WT models. ...the dash reading "engine hot, AC off"..on a 2007 Chevy Silverado4.8L. ... I have an 09 Silverado and the dealer changed thethermostat under warranty in 2013.
There was a recall done on those vehicles in 2008 for the same issues. Something about a clock spring. If the recall work has not been done on your SUV, bring it to a dealer.
Check your fuses first, the check your connections at the horn button and at the horn its self. All else fails take two pieces of wire hook one to the pos. and one to the neg. on your battery and test the horn that way to see if that is the horn went out.
