SOURCE: lighter stopped working,

The Cigarette lighter is run off of a 20A fuse located in the engine compartment just behind the battery. The fuse map will say P-Out and is in position #14. Hope that helps.

I have a 1991 gmc sonoma but the cigarette doesnt work can anyone tell me what fuse controls it

Easiest way to find out if its the fuse, is to look at the fuses with a flashlight and see if any of the links are broken. If there are any blown you'll see and you should replace the ones blown. That should tell you which one is connected to the CIG lighter. If you don't find any are blown then your CIG lighter connections behind the actual CIG lighter might be loose.

Sounds Like You Have An Exposed Hot Wire Somewhere. I Would Try And Change Cig Lighter Wiring Harness. Be Sure And Check Your Aux Outlets So That There Are No Exposed Wires. They All Run On The Same Fuse Hope This Helps!!

Blew a 25 amp fuse for the cigarette lighter, replaced it with a new one but still not getting any power from the cig lighter, is there another fuse hidden somewhere??

No power from the cig lighter if you have a voltmeter youll have to test it for power at its harness behing the cig lighter, just to let you know that cig lighter also wears out and a replacement may be it the fix for you, also there is only one fuse for it

Ok i have a 01 ford windstar the cig. lighter caught on fire. replaced fuse now it and to obd doesnt work. really need obd it is running like u know what. dont know why??

When your lighter lit on fire it could have melted the casings on the wires shorting them together. This would cause the fuse to blow every time you use the lighter. Also it is the same fuse for both the lighter and obd (which in your owners manual will be called Data Link Connector, or DLC). Replace the fuse but don't use the lighter. When you plug in the DLC it should work just fine then try the lighter. If fuse blows you have to fix the wiring to the lighter or possibly the lighter socket.

Radio and cigarette lighter won't work 1996 Ford Ranger

Read your manual .It tells you were the fuses are.. If you use a test light, the terminal at the bottom of the lighter socket is positive and the barrel is ground.Don,t touch the two,or you will need another fuse. The fuse panel is on the left end of the dash. The cigar is #17 and radio is # 20

My cigarrete lighter doesnt work, so i think i blew a fuse, but i dont have the fuse cover so i dont know which fuse it is i need to change so please just get me the fuse i ened to change caus ei need that...

all you need to do is buy a cheep test light in the 5-10 range. ground the test light and touch the metal in the fuse you do not need to take the fuse out. check both sides of the fuse you will see 2 metal pices on the back of the fuse were it tells you how many amps the fuse is. that is what you touch with the test light. the light should light up if not the fuses are bad. if the fuse is good take the test light and ground it again you can clip it to the side of the cig lighter socket. and put the test light prob into the cig lighter socket becarefull not to touch the sides of the socket and just touch dead center bottom and if the test light does not light up you know your Cig socket has burnt out

Cigarette lighter DOESNT WORK

If it is the cig. lighter that is fuse 17(25 amp) in the interior fuse panel.
If it is the aux. power point in the console then that is fuse 22(20amp)
