1995 Rodeo has a whine to the transmission, is this normal??

I am looking to buy a 1995 Rodeo and it has been well taken care of. I went for a test drive and it has this whine that goes along with the transmission. It is constant, so maybe it is just the way the truck sounds. Does anyone else notice this whine??

Be Very Careful If your hearing whines from transmission.

On Automatic Could Be Filter, Low ON Transmission Fluid Or Power converter(Pump) Going out.

On Standard Could be low on fluid or worn gears.

Occasionally transmissions are misdiagnosed for rear end noise.

Toyota lexcen automatic wont shift out of first gear, reverses well tho

Start with shift sensor. Then go down the line. It is possible something went wrong during the last shift and the transmission sensor locked it down into safety mode to avoid ripping up transmission. If this doesn't fix it you may need a rebuild.

1996 rodeo 4x4 transmission wire diagram changing transmission from a standard to an auto trans but need to wire a five wire plug at lower drivers side of transmission as it dose not have one in the truck...

You are going to need to purchase the computer that came with the transmission you are putting into the vehicle. A manual transmission computer is not programmed to monitor the same stuff as an automatic transmission. It would be the equivalent of using microsoft word the fix a digital photograph. The program is just not up to the job... I would just buy the whole wiring harness and computer. Then you know it will work. Good luck.

1995-96 Isuzu Rodeo transmission swapable?

No they are not compatible. They changed the crank between 95 and 96. I have a 96 that needed an engine swap and the dealer that I bought it from was paying for the engine, he bought a 95 engine and after a month of trying the mechanic said no way no how, the crank between the two is different.
