I replaced ignition harness($89) and the ignition lock Solenoid($70). I looked at wires at shifter and not brittle or broke. Looked at switches at brake peddle look the same. The switches move in and out ok but no sound of solenoids. What is the top switch on break peddle? The lower switch has two wire connectors , what do each of those do?

make sure to disconnect the negative side of the battery first and wait at least 2 minutes before messing with any air bag components. and yes you will need to get the security code reprogramed for the radio

Also your ignition switch could be sticking in the start position. common problem. If it stops when you put the car in drive or reverse gears then its something with your ignition switch.

while in park, press harder up past park and it will disengage. Otherwise there is a pin on the ignition you can press and remove the entire ignition. You call also lightly tap gently around igniton piece to loose the pins inside that hold the key.

Possibly shift interlock problem check the btsi fuse in the instrument fuse panel. There is a shift lock actuator in the column or center console that could be your culprit depending on if you have a column or floor shifter.
