Pontiac sufires 2001 won't start

Hi gents

although I try to use the block heater for my Pontiac
2001 sufires , nevertheless I tried to get the car started but it wont start at alll . I used a mobile booster and even a car gave me a boost and still did not kick in. I can hear the fuel pump running and get all the panel lights up and all the fuses checked all right I also recharged the car battery for 4 hours and still could not get it started . The car crank over normally and it sounds just like no gas running to the carburator .the car was running fine the other day and no problems but today it is just a bucket of bolts . I had such a problem in a severe cold snap a month ago and towed it to the garage and after staying almost 10 minutes there it just got started with no problem .The mechanic just gave the battery a charge for 10 min and that was it the car started then he reset the data link underneath the wheel . I understand that only during the severe cold snap it happens to my car . does anyone out there has such a problem or any ideas ples and thanks

Sounds like your battery is on the way out. Have a load test done on battery & voltage check on alternator. If all works well once it starts, I'd bet on the battery, but load test will confirm, which they will do for free usually if your buying the battery from them.

Per your observations, I would suggest you check the fuel pump harness ground connection to the body. It should be located in the rear of the car and will have a several black wires with it screwed into the body.
I believe you are having a feed back problem caused by a loose or damaged ground connection.
You can also look at the fuel pump harness at the tank, find the black wire for the fuel pump ground, solder in a new ground wire and run it to the frame rail and screw it down. That will give you a good ground and the problem will go away.
Good luck and let me know how it goes.

If you replaced the fuel pump then there is a possibility that during the job then some debris from the tank and/or filter got loose somewhere into the fuel system and is in your lines. It could even be a very tiny speck of gasket material, old or new.

Sounds like air in fuel line. Purge fuel line. By "crank", do you mean engine spins but won't catch? Try starter fluid in intake.

Car over heating.... changed water pump, raditor, milled heads, replace computer, flush block, thermo still over heats

YOU HAVE A THERMOSTAT THAT IS OPENING AT 195 (TO HIGH) TRY REPLACING IT WITH A 160 DEGREE IT WILL ALLOW THE SYSTEM TO FLOW MORE FREELY, ALTHOUGH THE HEAT WILL TAKE A BIT LONGER TO HEAT UP, THE ENGINE WILL STOP OVER HEATING. YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT FROM BEGINNING.

Ignition coil or Ignition control module I would look towards the ignition control module.I had a 91 cavelier do the samething exact same and i tried everything to try and fix it,it turned out that it was the ignition control module. There will be 2 coils mounted onto that plate. It ran good till it warmed up,once warmed up it would stall and spitt and sputter,if left for awhile would start up and go good untill it warmed back up.Once the module would get warm it would quit working untill it cooled down
