2002 Ford Ranger 2.3. Where is the location of the engine temperature sensor please?

Question edited for clarity, make sentence and toss in some CAPS.
Question moved to model category.

The engine coolant temp sensor is mounted into the head so it can get a reading for the coolant in the engine. It is in the head between cylinders 2 and 3. The air temp sensor is on the air inlet tube from the air filter box.

Where is the temperature sensor for a 92 Ford Ranger XLT

Depends on which motor. 2.3 2.9 3.0 4.0? If you are reffering to the sensor that operates the temp guage, they are either near the thermostat housing or in the cylinder head. Should be a single wire sensor

1994 Ford Ranger Super Cab MAF problems

Looks like you need to replace the coolant temperature sensor for the computer. This will make the engine run rich all the time. You can simply check it with a scan tool with live data capability. With the engine warm read the engine coolant temperature. My guess is it will read very cold even with the engine warm. If so replace it and the truck will be running like new

Location of both temperature sensors

put the truck up on ramps today, and look at it from underneath, there is a one wire sender, At the back of the block that is the oil sending unit. It is about 1.5" in diameter and has a gold stud coming out of it. Then down 2 inches, and towards the front 2-3 inches, under the intake manifold, but still on the block, is another unit. It is about 3/4" diameter, and also has a gold stud coming out of it. There is one wire and it is red with white stripes. that is one of the coolant sensors, in the coolant lines coming out of the firewall for the heater, there is a sensor spliced in. It is located right above the alternator, Look for a 2-wire sensor with LG/R and GY/R color wires.
