2007 Chevy Equinox - with remote starter -- my keyless remote doesn't work...whenever i try to open the car using the remote is doesn't work...but when i open the car using the key the remote works...after i open it using the key i can open and lock all the doors using the remote...after i lock the car...2 minutes later the remote doesn't work...the remote only seems to work when i open the car using the key...what can i do to fix this problem?...is there a problem with the fuses, remote, or transmitter? thanks I have the same problem on a 2007 Avalanche. It will lock the doors when I first get out. I can use the unlock on my remote only after using the key to unlock the door. Both remotes are the same, and I have replaced the battery.

Have you tried changing the battery in the remote? Also try unhooking your cr battery overnight to see if it resets the module

Hiya...the factory-installed keyless remote control are installed in most Equinoxes IF SO equipped with this option that year.
However, it's difficult to get "true factory-installed" keyless feature in your Equinox ....but new 2008-2009 Equinoxes built this year now comes with standard keyless remote and yes, new option is remote STARTER feature (that option is identified by a black wire found inside the rear-right quarter window with thin metal line surrounding that interior window to receive signal from remote starter fob)

At least you can find after-market keyless remote control at your local retail store.

There is no onboard programming procedure for this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. Please go to the nearest GM dealer for assistance

believe it or not you need to take it to the dealer. There is a software reprogram for the remote control door lock receiver to fix the probelm - really common on tahoes and suburbans. Go to the dealer and tell them about bulletin #06-08-52-002g. It probably will need new remotes also. Try and get the dealer to warranty it since its a known product defect and a known problem
