The turn signals and brake lights use the same circuit and filament in the bulbs. The tail lights are on the other circuit which comes from the headlight switch.

The brake light and the turn signal are the same bulb. Most of the time if the bulb on the dash stays on it is because a bulb is blown and thats the way it tells you.

SOURCE: Brake lights not working at tail lights but the

the upper brake light works differently than the outer lights. check your brake light switch by the brake pedal. It will have a plunger switch on it. The center brake lamp works off a power convertor instead off the brake light switch. The switch has a separate wire for that which is still working

My tail lights don't work but brake lights do, what's the problem?

Check your fuses to make sure they are OK. Your turn signal is on a different circuit than the tail lights. I think.

No brake lights, blubs and fuses ok. center brake light DOES work

Usually when the third brake light works but the regular lights don't the problem is in the turn signal switch.
I would check for voltage there.

No turn signals, brake lights. have tails lights. all fuses in fuse box under check out ok

The turn signals and the brake lights go through the hazard switch. Try cycling it a few times and see if that solves the problem. If the fuses are good and the 4way's don't work, I would suspect that switch.

Tail lights wont work

sounds like ground problem- remove tail lights and look for wires going to body -remove screww clean grounding area and replace- both sides. You did not say whether the lights work when car is off? With car off and brake pedal pushed is there any brake lights ? If not procede with above.
