Po420pd what does the pd stand for

MAF, Mass air flow sensor is out of performance range. Clean it with some electrical spray cleaner first. DO NOT use a brush on it., just spray it down both sides if you can. The MAF is between the air filter and throttle body. If your air filter is dirty, replace it also.

Call the dealer or look it up on the internet. I know o reilys has code readers.

check for vacuum leaks or a faulty mass air flow sensor. all the codes have to do with engine too lean(too much air).

Follow your top radiator hose back to the engine and at the end of the hose is the thermostat housing usally 2 bolts mount it to the engine.Remove the 2 bolts and pry up on housing thermostat will be underneath.

It means a large evaporative emissions leak. It could be a leaking or broken vacuum leak, or a bad seal on the gas cap even. Clear the code and see if it comes back. If so you can replace the gas cap and inspect vacuum lines for leaks. Replace any that are questionable.

the timing marks for all vw/audi/seat and skoda are on the front pulleys(they are small dots)you may need to highlight them with chalk.

P430 is "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)" and P403 without the PD is "Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Volume Control Valve Circuit".

sounds like sticking EGR valve to me but ned more info

You might want to check for a mouse nest under the Underhood fuse block, seen them chew up wiring under there many times.
