My '03 Chevy Tahoe was showing oil pressure very high level 80+ and then it started to go up and down from 0-80 sometimes would happen when I would stop. Now it's showing at 0 level, but it runs fine and had the transmission fluid changed just about a month ago and the guy said that it had very good pressure then. What is causing this maybe a short in the connection or a bad fuse? I don't know what to do but I know it can't be good to let it continue so any suggestions as to what the problem is? Thanks

Hello, yes the check valve is in the fuel pump assembly. The check valve is leaking and the pump will burn out soon. Unfortunately the aftermarket fuel pumps can be very unreliable. A good portion of problems we see on this site are from people who replace the pump sometimes twice and it still doesn't work.

replace your MAP sensor(manifold absolute pressure) the map sensor is the computer for your fuel pressure regulator telling how much pressure. Unless your tahoe runs like **** going up hill than it inevitably your fuel pump
No fuse for the switch on the engine although the cluster has a fuse for the instrument gauges

the oil sending unit could be out or the pressure guage is malfunctioning is the service engine light on?
