Engine shut down after 15miles then won't start for half hour

Could be the ignition switch, or the low oil cut off , ignition switches do that all the time

stop the car and turn it off and don't forget to remove the key. the open the hood and find the battery. Then remove the negative battery terminal connector completely from the battery. with the battery disconnected turn on you headlamps as you would for night time driving. Wait an half an hour so all the current drains out the the electrical system. after the half hour TURN OFF THE HEADLAMPS BEFORE RECONNECTING THE BATTERY! Next reconnect the negative battery terminal connector back on the negative battery terminal don't forget to tighten it down. Put the key in the ignition turn the computer on to on BUT wait 5 seconds before actually starting the car, then start the car as normal and drive the car at least 25 miles 10 city 15 highway so the car can relearn all it functions again **Note first time start the car my be rough due that it need to relearn if it is acting rough apron start up let it idle for a bit before driving so it can calm down**

Lookfor a light on the dash that says SECURITY or ANTITHEFT. If you see this light, that is a sign of a failed or failing antitheft system, which will disable your vehicle. This link explains

if it shuts off while driving and will not start back up for at least 10 minutes, then it may be the crank sensor doing this. is check engine light on! if so get it scanned to find problem code. if no scanner, auto-zone will scan for free. if light is on. CPS symtoms are: car dies and won't re-start till it cools down, or won't start at all. good-day ! crank sensor timing will be out of sync. it controls timing and sends info to pcm.

What was the code you got,after the sevice soon light came on,and you had the code pulled?

I suggest that you chech the pickup filter and the normal fuel filter for contamination.

Replace the coolant sensor. If the system were to decide that it is too hot, it can shut down, after the "limp home" mode runs out.

You are losing oil pressure, this means your oil pump is probably out. Don't drive it anymore until you can get that repaired. It's shutting down because it's siezing up. You need the extra power to jump it because the piston rings and wall are sticking together, let it all cool down and the rings contract and loosens up. Allowing the engine to turn.

Check the ignition coil, olso what year is the car
