Its likely that you have either a bad ignition switch or a bad neutral safety switch (if stickshift, clutch switch) Try starting in neutral...if it starts, change neutral switch (jump across clutch switch, check starting in neutral with your foot on the brake) Ignition switch is on top of steering column under dash.

leake intake manafold or bad vac line... try warm soapy water on running motor out of a spray bottle to find leak... the reason the censor seemed to hel is that the take time to set them selfs... after set back to square 1 leak in the air side of motor... typical in your car...

the ignition control module goes bad as well. when it goes bad, things like this happen too often in these cars. my car had the same problem. and it didnt work right til i changed the ignition control module which is inside the pick up coil

It sounds like a bad connection somewhere, check the battery cable connections for corrosion and tightness, both ends. It could be the starter, starter solenoid, starter relay, neutral safety switch or ignition. Try moving the shift lever to the "N" position and see if that helps. When you say you have a dead key, do you mean you have no dash lights, (oil pressure light, battery light, things of that nature) no clicking, no nothing?

Known GTP problem.
You most likely have a bad fuel pump resistor, which controls 2 speeds of the fuel pump.
To check to see if this is the problem, there is a trick you can do and its very easy to do. Go to the attached link, and bend the tab my finger is pointing at and then plug it back in. If your car starts and runs fine, well we just solved the problem.
