Howdy all,
My sister-in-law owns a 2002 Nissan Frontier four-door, 4wd pickup. The
engine is the naturally aspirated 3.3l V6. Mileage is 44,000.
Recently, the truck has been stalling out within seconds or at most a
few minutes after starting. It will not re-start unless it's left to sit for
at least a few minutes, often an hour or more.
No OBD-II trouble codes have shown up. I first thought the fuel filter
might be clogged, so it has been replaced. The problem remains.
My next thought was that the fuel pump, fuel pump relay or fuel pressure
regulator might be faulty. I have a fuel pressure gauge, but can not find a
fitting on the fuel system to connect it to. Is the fitting under the intake
manifold on or near the fuel pressure regulator?
Thanks,
Darron R. Birgenheier

I have the same problem. I replaced the fuel pump and the in line fuel filter. I still have the same problem. Then I found that Nissan has a recall on the fuel pump sending unit. This unit is located in the fuel tank. The recall is listed on the NHTSA web site and Nissan has it listed on their recalls also. Just go to Nissan recalls for your year/model. I don't know the if there will be any cost involved, but their web site says they will replace the fuel sending unit. I will call them next week to see what is involved in getting this unit replaced. I hope there is not much cost. This has been a great vehicle. Ron C

or jack up engine mounts pulled.
You own a V4 version? You have a prototype version that was stolen from the factory R & D department!
The mid-size pickup concept for SEMA also gets a wider track, a cold air intake, a cat-back exhaust, and all sorts of NISMO visual add-ons. Nissan dropped the Titan's 400-hp, 5.6-liter V-8 into a Frontier pickup to create this concept for SEMA. The Frontier is only available with a 3.8-liter V-6 from the factory.
Perhaps you mean STRAIGHT 4?

Dear Sir> 1( Adjust the ignition timing according the specification manufacturer 2) Readjust the GAP from Spark Plug from s.manufacturer. 3) Testing form corrosion, loose wires, dirty, dust, vibration, defective cables burn, or break.God bless you
Thats where I would go next. You can check the converter by removing the 02 sensor in front of it. If the engine runs better, then the converter is clogged. Also if the exhaust that comes out the tail pipe is very very hot it's the converter.
Did you hook all the lines for the fuel pump up when the engine was re-installed? It is definitely a fuel issue. Disconnect the fuel line and crank over the engine to check for fuel supply.
This depends on the fuel tank size and engine size, also i research this and found that in 2003 they came with 3 diffrent engines that use 3 diffrent pumps, the 2005 came with 2 engine diffrent than 2002 and they use diffrent pump, so the answer to your question is no you can not interchange these pumps, hope this helps.
