Your going to have to call up your local volvo dealer and give them your vin number and they can look it up for you. You can try using radio-code.com but i wouldnt recomend it. Your best bet is calling your local volvo dealer and they will help you out.

Jpk528 is correct.   AND if your dealer tells you that you have to go to them in person and/or wants to charge you, find another dealer and call them.  It takes them 5 minutes to look it up.

Contact Number to get code for Volvo V70 radio

contact your local dealer, assuming the radio is the original unit in the car, they can give you the code to reset it, you will need to give them the full VIN of car. if it is not the original radio, you will need to pull the radio out of the dash and give them the serial number from the rear of the radio. have your title or registration handy it should have all the information you need.

I have a 1998 volvo v70.and i don't know the radio code.

Hi,

These radio codes are not presented in radio for safety purpose and only your Volvo dealer can tell you these codes on producing the proof of ownership. These codes are generated based on your VIN number. After using the codes if it says "ERR" do not try anything else further. Remove the radio and take it to the dealer or you can write down the letters and numbers from the top of the radio and the dealer will get you the radio code with the help of those numbers.

Thank you !!

Batery discorneted lost radio code on my volvo v70 no luck from volvo as car 15 years old

Hi:
The only way to get the radio code is at a dealer, and often you have to have the serial number of the radio, the VIN number of the car, and go to the service department. This is an anti theft preventative, and keeps theives from reselling stolen radios. If you have been to a Volvo dealer and done all I suggested above, then your only option is an aftermarket radio .

1998 volvo sedan 940 model can you give me code for radio please

HELLO
in order to get the security code for your radio the serial number and VIN of the car are needed, each code is unique to each car it is installed in, it was provided to the original owner with the owners manual when the car was new, the code is stored in the vehicle information computer of Volvo and can only be accessed by the dealer or a few on line web sites, we have no access here at Fixya to these security codes for any make or model car or light truck, here is a web site that may be able to provide the unlock code for the radio for a nominal charge.

My radio display 0ff

You have to put the key in position 1 where the radio is on, but not your instrument panel. leave in this position for 2 hrs. yes, 2hrs! the radio then will come back to saying "code" once it does, call a volvo dealer, they can run your vin # and get your code. they may ask for proof of ownership. then push in your 4 digit code. this will work as long as the radio hasnt been changed out. if it has, they have to pull the serial number off the radio itself (it slides right out)and get the code for that radio.

1998 volvo radio code tried the code in manual, no succss

Hopefully this get's to you before you lock it up. If it get's locked up, it will read off in the display of the radio.

If that happens, you will need to leave the car in position one till the radio reads enter code.

You have 3 tries to get the code right.

Obviously you don't have the right one.

Pull the gear selector back to the lowest setting, hit the two tabs that hold the radio in and when those pop out...pull the radio out enough to get the serial number and part number. (just copy the label exactly as it reads and that will help)

Head over to your Volvo dealership and talk to the parts department, they should be able to get you the right radio code at no charge.
