SOURCE: Electronic Throttle Control light

I took my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi to a mechanic that works from a garage at his home, recommended by a friend of mine. He removed and cleaned the throttle body and sensor(s?), then reinstalled them, and then disconnected both battery cables and held them together for 2 minutes so that the engine controller could reboot with the factory default settings, then reconnected them. I had bought a can of throttle body cleaner on my way over to his house for about $3.00. He charged me $40.00 for the job. This was done mid-February, about 10 weeks and 2500 miles ago. So far, the problem Has Not happened again, the truck has been running great!

SOURCE: Electronic Throttle Control

I had same problem on mine. The wire harness under the throttle body cover rubbed and was cut in two. If you remove the cover and unplug the etc you can feed the harness under the plug wires to inspect them.very common problem on this vehicle.

SOURCE: where is the crankshaft position sensor on a 2005

Passenger side of the engine just above the oil pan. Look for the wire harness going into the block.

ETC Sensor light ????? Just ETC - electronic throttle control , it does have sensors also control module and wiring ,DC electric motor on the throttle body . . If the light comes on DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are stored in the PCM - engine computer or what ever computer controls it . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

How to add Freon to 2005 dodge Durango 5.7L HEMI V-8

This is one thing I insist people have a technician do. If you do not do it correctly two things will happen -- damage to the compressor and damage to the environment. First you need to have the CORRECT grade of Freon, and you need the access tool kit to make the connections and you have to have the correct volume of Freon.
