Was driving and all the sudden engine dies and will not restart just spins over but does not start
What are you driving?????? how many miles???? did it make any un-normal sounds prior to this problem??? It sounds like the timing of the cam and the crank was lost, ether the failure of a chain or belt.
My truck did that and it was the fuel pump in the gas tank.

Disconnect your alternator. I had a similar problem with a 2001 Ram 2500. I found that the alternator was surging and causing the automatic trans sensors to disengage the trans creating a slipping feeling. This may be the cause for your problem.

Pull out the spark pugs so, there is no longer compression. Put a wrench on the crankshaft pully. The engine will turn and the pistons will travel up and down. This is of course it the engine hasn't seized. If the engine turns its the starter. Simple.

Like to other guy said, give it a tuneup. Also try SEAFOAM to clean carb up of slug. Also check to make sure the butter fly for the choke has not come loose, causing it the choke it down. Failed choke pull-off.

Sounds like you are having a fuel problem with the fuel filter. If you have not had your car serviced in quite awhile i would do so. At least change the fuel filter and check the air filter as well. Hope thias will help you.
