I have a 83' lincoln Mark 6 with a 302 V8 and a 2 Barrel thottlebody. My condion is When I start the engine idles high and then drops to a low idle when it warms up and then it runs rough surging high and low until I place it Drive and then it smoothes out and sometimes stalls in Drive. This surging rough ilde only happens in Park and Neutral. What is my cause and correction?

Sounds more like an engine idle issue than a oil pressure issue. If the engine idle drops too low, the oil pump cannot provide sufficient oil pressure. If there is no oil light when the engine is idling normally, then there is no problem there.

Due to the use of computers to operate the engine, idle speed cannot be changed. There should be an idle sensor either on or near the air intake hose coming in to the engine. Typically, when the idle is too high or too low, it is a faulty idle sensor.
you replaced it with one from the junkyard. Who's to say the car in the junkyard didn't have the same issue before it died? Anyway, the check engine light and low idle may be attributed to the fact that the ECM lost all power to it, and when the vehicle is running and ECM loses power, it will throw a check engine light. Also now the ECM will need to relearn it's idle and various other parameters that take a lil time. (15 miles or so) I would have the check engine light checked to see which code you have. Also make sure the air suspension is not leaking. That is the number 1 killer of alternators on mark viii's.
check that routing of your throttle cable going to the top of the engine, sounds like it may be dry (no lube) or kinked somewhere. also check for a bent bracket where it would go through.
