When you drive it for a while does the temperature gauge seem to be pretty high or no?
ok well i had a similar problem in a cadillac i worked on. Do you have the factory stereo in there or is aftermarket?
this is exactly the same problem i have with my 98 dodge neon, i have replaced the ignition coil, new spark plugs w/ correct gaps, new wires as well. drives for about 40-45 min then just turns off and won't want tot start up again, i let it rest for a while an d it turns back on, but then dies again after engine warms up to normal operating mode

no temp stays normal
it does the same thing as your did you find out what the problem was
I know this may sound silly but, the gas cap can cause this too.
The vent gets clogged or lets too much air in and that causes sputtering and or vaporlock.
It's a cheap trial and a good suggestion for a very possible solution.
