Something happened with my airconditioner... On climat control I put low temperature, pushed A/C botton, on my screen apper "a/c on" but A/C compressor clutch newer click and condenser fan not on. It's blow only warm air from dash vents. I aldeady checked all fuses and relays. All good. Any one can help me? Thanks. Slavik.
I have just purchased this car in the winter and found that the A/C was not blowing cold air. I am one month past warranty. I was told the same about the compressor not engaging. There is a charge as well and the Freon was drained and retested. Do yourself a favor....I have had the A/C clutch and Stator replaced, then the compressor, and now after $1000 (not including the charge of $1500 for compressor replace)I still have no A/C. It turns out that now the dealership has informed me that there is a blockage that cannot be blown free and the entire dashboard must be removed and a valve and the filter must be replaced. The blockage caused the clutch, stator, and the compressor to blow due to the Freon trying to be pushed through the blockage. The total cost to the job is $2,300 and the dealership ended up keeping my car for 1-1/2 weeks. Save yourself a lot of time and hopefully money and bring this to the attention of your repairman. Most of the time took them trying to isolate the problem. This sounds like a common occurance in the 2005 RL. I hope you have better luck than I did and hopefully save you some money.
2005 Acura RL have only 50K miles now. Have taken 4 trips of over 1K each trip and 3 out of the 4 the A/C went out. Each time this problem has been repaired by an Acura Dealership during my trip. This time I'm bringing it back in to the Acura Dealership were I purchased the car hoping they will correct the problem permanently. Vacations during the summer are no fun if you are spending days in a hot car. Thought I was purchasing a reliable well made vehicle----guess I thought wrong!

You may need to put more freon into the system in this case.

I have the same problem but it works intermittently. Currently have it in the shop and they believe it needs a new AC clutch and one other part that engages the compressor. Sadly, it sounds like it might cost about $900 to do this since I'm a few months past my warranty.
I have the same problem, I am about 3k miles out of warranty and have the same issue. Took it to an AC shop to have it charged and they told me the charge was fine, and that I had some sort of electrical problem as the compressor / fan was not ingaging. This was on Sat and there electrical guy was not in. I will probably take it to the dealer at this point. Frustrating, as I know I will pay way too much from the dealer.
take it to a dealer and have the system charge checked.
