Hi again , I took the van to the garage this morning for them to have a look at the heater and they told me they have to replace the motor $150.00 for the motor and 7 hours labor @ $78.00 to install as they need to pull the dash and intrument panel to change it , plus a air conditioner recharge. Just need to know I'm not getting shafted ,,,,any comments appreciated.Hi again , I took the van to the garage this morning for them to have a look at the heater and they told me they have to replace the motor $150.00 for the motor and 7 hours labor @ $78.00 to install as they need to pull the dash and intrument panel to change it , plus a air conditioner recharge. My Dodge grand caravan sport blows hot, cold, and the a/c only at the highest blowing speed I was told that changing the resistor would work. Also you are getting shafted because I changed the motor and it is 1 to 2 hours of labor and paid a $100 fo the blower (new, Ebay)My Dodge grand caravan sport blows hot, cold, and the a/c only at the highest blowing speed I was told that changing the resistor would work. If I am understanding you correctly, the blower fan is not running. You will need to take things apart until you can get to the blower itself. (Or you could test for voltage at the blower control switch) But I am guessing it is the blower that has gone bad, not the switch. However, they usually get noisy, and then go bad. Test for 12 volts going into the blower motor. If you have voltage at the blower motor, and it doesn't run, replace the blower motor.
If the problem is a lack of air flow from the vents, and you suspect the blower motor is not running at times, you would need to test the blower relay and blower motor for power and ground when it is not working.
J, I am sending you some info to read but it appears that the most likely cause is the blower motor relay. Give the following notes a read and if you need some more help give me a buzz... Best of Luck..

Concern:
Front blower does not work; no
power to it. Fuse is OK.
Tests/Procedures:
1. At the blower motor, there
is a Dark Blue wire. This wire should have battery voltage whenever the key is
in the "on" position. Power for the blower motor comes
from the blower
relay.
2. Access the front blower relay, it is located
on the driver's side under the dash, near the junction block. There will be four
wires going to it. The Dark Green wire should have battery voltage all the time.
The Dark Blue wire is going to the motor. The Black/Orange wire should have
battery voltage with the key in the "on" position. The Black wire should be
grounded at all times. On this circuit, the relay is energized whenever the key
is in the "on" position.

Tips:
The front blower relay is located
under the dash, on the driver's side. It may be necessary to remove the junction
block (fuse and relay box) in order to see it.

Hi............ Sounds like the fan motor, but first check the resistor pack........ normally fails first..... sometimes though you end up renewing both..... would think by the age of the vehicle that this will be the case........ Hope this helps...... Steve ....... Botswana
Check owners manual for location of heater blower motor front, check with a test light,if it's good locate blower motor under glove box and test the two wires for power when switch is turned on,if power is present motor needs changed.if no power check blower motor resister.
Sounds like you need to replace the Blower Motor Resistor. It is located on the bottom of the heater box about where the passengers left foot would rest, behind glove box. It has 2 screws holding it on.
If the blower motor is not working the most likely cause is the blower resister, but you must replace the blower motor also because the resistance build-up inside the motor is what damages the resister.
