Have a 2000 chevy blazer, when the motor is cold it will start and die right away, i have to keep my foot on the accelerator until it reaches operating temp. then its fine, once it reaches the operating temp it runs perfect what could this be plz help 4.3 l v6 (vortec)
Swng,
1) Is the service engine soon light ever on when engine is running?
2) Per your description I would look at the ECT sending unit. It sends coolant temperature information the the Engine Control Module for proper fuel delivery for cold engine start. It may have lost its calibration.
Let me know.

Could be signs of a pluged fuel filter,( if the chk. engine light is not on) if thats not an issue, get a fuel pressure test, pump might be getting weak.
