Check to see if the brake light problem might be caused by the parking brake, rather than the brake fluid.
Also, find a mechanic that can tell you if your computer needs to be reset with the changes you have already made.
God bless your efforts.
Lets start with what is the year make and model ?? If the ABS light is on, you would need to have the computer scanned to get the trouble codes so you would know what component to test. The brake warning light could be telling you the hydraulic brakes are low on fluid, or the parking brake is not completely off. You would need to reset the change oil reminder, if it is a red oil light, it could be telling you the oil pressure is low.
brake lights won't work, but the center does ??? u need to change your turn signal switch which is in the steering wheel. i changed mine and it worked great .....
change brake switch. my son just changed my brakes and the lights for both regular and emergency brakes stayed on, we changed the switch and now just the emergency brake needs adjusting so that light will go out too

If you need to change the light bulb for brake lights:
First you need to open the rear hatch then drop down the tail gate. You will notice that there are 4 screws total for each brake light assembly. 2 on the inside where the tailgate was blocking and 2 on the outside of light. Unscrew them all and the assembly will come right off giving access tot he light bulbs.
Hi ..... If the pedal goes down too far then I suspect you have a leak or need to top up the system. Have a look at the fluid level and let us know how you get on.
