When the rainy season began, I discovered that the passenger side floor of my Toyota RAV4 lets in water. It appears the water leak pattern is from the passenger door into the entire passenger carpet area if the car is out in the rain long enough. The door itself or the paper holder is not wet, just the carpet area. I have completely dried the carpet and then taken the car into the rain and the leak pattern repeats as described above from the edge of the carpet floor closest to the door in. There is no front end work or damage that preceded this problem occuring. Any suggestions?
Hi, we also have a 2002 Toyota Rav4 and developed a leak in the front driver's side of the car. After much research, we discovered that the drain wells from our sun/moon roof were clogged. If you have one of these, I suggest that you open the sun roof and look carefully. You will notice some tiny little holes in front and in the rear of the sun/moon roof tracks. Over time, these become clogged with dust and debris. You need to find a long, sturdy piece of thin wire and run it down the holes. To test if you have properly unclogged these, take a small amount of water and pour it down the holes. You should see water coming out of the drain wells under the car around the rear of the front tires. Hope this helps.
Yeah if you have a lookm at the top of your door seal or if fitted sunroof the one of the seals is gone and you will prob find the rain is leaking in and running down window pillar on the inside and then not surfacing till it gets to your carpets. i have seen this one before where it was the main windshield top corner poorley fitted/heat damaged, but this was a one off. hope this helps?

Yep, 2002 Rav4 water leak; I believe we have corrected it (so says the dealer), but I cannot find any after-market source for replacement carpet...and it is smelly! Any suggestions?
