The switch is on the gearbox, But not sure of the exact location for your model. But guess there are not many other wired items on the gearbox.

SOURCE: Ford focus station wagon looking for where tail light fuse is

There are 4 fuses you would need to check in the interior fuse panel.
The first one is fuse no.32(10amp) then check no. 33 (15amp) then no. 59 (7.5 amp) and no. 61 (7.5 amp)

SOURCE: Brake lights not working but centre mount is!!

the problem is most likely in the turn signal switch. the power for the left and right brake lights goes through the turn signal switch, but power for the center mount comes straight from the brake light switch. this allows the brake light to be turned of so the turn signal can operate as they use the same filimant in the bulb.

SOURCE: ford focus brake light failure !!!

1 - are you SURE theyre the right bulbs! - if theyre too bright they can blow the fuse, if theyre the wrong type of bulb they will blow the fuse.. best get the bulbs direct from ford, they are always in stock, so are the proper fuses.
2 - theres a center brakelight isnt there? check this bulb too for proper wattage and size/shape
Other than that maybe the wiring in the boot is damaged and shorting?? -----

Where is fuse box location for 2005 focus

You can find the owners manual for your 2005 Focus online by googling 2005 Focus Owners manual. On page 127 under Roadside Emergencies it describes the fuse panel under the dash by the brake pedal. There is a second panel, called the Power Distribution Box under the hood in the engine compartment. The manual describes the location of each fuse and relay. Good luck!

Fuse box what amp is the seat belt fuse and what number slot

I looked through the owner's manual and did not see a specific fuse for the seat belts. but here is the info for you:

Passenger compartment fuse panel
The fuse panel is located below and to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal. Remove the CD stowage box to access the fuses.

Here is the link to the owner's manual....scroll down to page 129-134.

Sometimes the ABS is tied in with the seatbelts so you may want to check the ABS fuses.

To remove a fuse, use the fuse puller tool provided on the power
