Coolant near the transmission

Looked under my jeep while putting the exhaust on my 1988 jeep wrangler and i saw that there is coolant need the transmission where it meets the transfer case. Could this be a head gasket or the rear main seal?

There is a mini-cooler inside the radiator tank that has ATF in it. The cooler lines between the trans and the radiator have ATF in them.
The smoke could have been ATF blowing onto the exhaust pipe.

As it is nearly impossible to make creditable diagnosis of any noise like this without a ride and hearing it first hand I can only suggest you seek the help of a dealer or trusted repair shop in your area. Thanks

Check your spark plugs. Without good spark plugs the ignition won't ignite. Just go look for Jeep spark plugs at like AutoZone and they are real cheap. To change them you will need a long socket wrench to twist them out and change each one.

Radiator problem, I think?

Not likely, but you can flush the entire system, and that would give you an indicator of the condition the engine is in internally. Smell the overflowing coolant, if it has a burned or exhaust like smell, you need to look at your engine gaskets.(Cyl Head gasket) especially. in a worse case scenerio, the heads themselves may need to be looked at. When you get a cracked head, you typically get a condition where the pressure the engine makes, pushes to coolant back through the system end up in the overflow bottle. I love jeeps, so good luck with this repair.
