It is 2 wheel drive with a 3.0 V6. Ran fine last night and then thismorning without warnig it would not start. The Engine just turns over with no hint of starting, it won't even "pop" or "put". I pulled the coil wire and checked for spark, It has a bright blue spark. When I turn the key I can hear a pump under the hood running for about a second or two, but can't smell any fuel. What could be causing this ?
Pull the distributor cap and see if the rotor turns. there is a possibility that the timing bellt is bad

Yes the Rotor Spins, and there is plenty of spark. I can verify that the injectors are getting fuel
I have determined it is the fuel pump. Now after removing the fuel tank I can not get the retaing ring loose, I broke my strap wrench trying to remove it. I have even tried saturating the ring with PB Blaster. Still can not get it loose.
Anyone have any ideas ?
