Mercedez benz c280 1999

I had my car stored for while and when I tried to start the battery was dead. I charged the battery but when the engine starts I have zero acceleration and the Bas /Esp light stays on? When I say zero I mean I can put the pedal all the way in and the engine just idels???

I am interested in the resolution. I have a 98 SL500 that is exhibiting the same thing. During the cold winter storage months, the battery went dead. I charged it with a charger and restarted the car. The car runs but with a constant rise and lowering of the RPM's. When I step on the gas, it does nothing. No power at all. All I could do is idle it in and out of the garage.

This happens when the battery dies or is disconnected. Just start the car and turn the front wheels all the way to the left and back allthe way to the right. This resets the failure code and the trouble light. Just experienced the same problem on my 2000 C280.

My mercedez benz clk 430 wont start . in the dash it says batttery/alternator. what is the problem?

Test battery charge, jump the battery to start and check battery charge, sound like a alternator or voltageregulator wrong there.

I have a 1998 mercedez c280 with a dead battery. I am unable to get into the trunk with the switch or my key

Mercedes Benz is the most service oriented company in the business. Whether you are the original owner or a secondary owner give the local Mercedes Dealer a call and they will dispatch a truck with a technician immediately. More than likely there will be no charge.
I know the same thing happened to me with a dead battery. Don Rasmussen is absolutely unbelievable locally. I couldn't believe the no charge. The Tech stated " That's the service you paid for".
Best regards,

320 ml cdi car would not start 4 hours later -20 tempetures all dash lights come on

are you sure that your batterys not dead? when you attempted to start it, did the engine turn over? or did nothing? clicking sound? do headlights come on when you try? if not, then try to boost it from another car with booster cables, when the cables from the other car are connected, allow the booster car to run engine while the cables are connected to your battery for 10minutes before you attempt to start your car. this will allow your battery to build the charge to start your engine. if this does'nt work the first time, allow the battery to charge from the booster car for 15minutes. if this does'nt work, remove your battery and take to an autozone or advance auto parts store.they will charge and check your battery for free! you have nothing to lose. if you do not have the above named stores close to you then, charge your battery with a battery charger.which you can purchase at wal-mart or harbor freight tools,k-mart,or a pawn shop! hope this assists you! you can vote on my assistance if you choose to. either way,i know that i've attempted to assist someone somewhere for free! thank you!

Is there a proper way to jump start my 1999 Mercedez CLK 320?

When jump starting any vehicle always hook up the positive to the battery first and then hook the ground(black) lead to some metal surface on the engine. This way you do not throw sparks near the battery.

you should be able to pull down back seat to get in the truck, and once inside there should be a visible pull cord to open trunk.

Head gasket

the TDC is when the piston in the engine is right at the top of its stroke. So take out the number one sparkplug, which is closest to the front of the engine. turn the engine with a spanner on the bottom pulley, put a screwdriver in the plug hole turn the engine and feel the screwdriver lift up as the engine turns. when you feel the screwdriver start to drop down stop.
Now you are at TDC.
it means TOP DEAD CENTER.

Hi i haven't drive my mercedez clk 320 2005 for about one yrs and the battery is dead, should i buy a new one or should i charge up to see if it work?

You could do either, if you will be driving it again now you may opt for a new battery. Take it out and have the battery tested at your auto parts store if it checks out OK charge it up

E320 mercedez no start after replace alternator

is the battery still strong?

i'm just wandering why did you replace the alternator ? ( the battery could have been weak )

or while replacing the alternator, you could have forgotten some essential wires that is connected to the starter.

please verify that all wires prior to replacement of the alternator have been restore back to its original location.

tnx 4 using fixya,
