I recently traded my 2004 PT Cruiser in for a 2008 PT Cruiser. I had the exact prolem with my 2004. I also got a code that mentioned low voltage. After I replaced the battery, the check engine did not come back on.
Good place to start, but If you check directly with Chrysler there may be a technical service bulletin, that isn't posted yet. Have the codes cleared when work done, and see what happens.

yes it misses and stumbles and just is rough riding and I took to pepboys and they put it on a machine to tell me the codes and they said chrysler has a bulletin about it and when I pulled up my vin# online it said no recalls, so was just wondering if anyone else out there has this problem on this year and what is the likley cause...I know its cyclinder 1 and a misfire so I am having a friend change the spark plugs and wires and see what happens...just have to find them first too though..LOL so any help or info would be appreciated its a 2004 with only 26779 miles on it just got the car 4 mos ago. thnks all
is there a way to get the error codes to come up on the odomiter?
Have you felt engine stumble, or running a little rough at any time recently?
