1990 Lumina running roung, power loss rough idle

I had the plugs and wires changed, and also changed the IAC motor. It is still idling rough and has a loss of power especially up hills. Like it isn't firing all cylinders. HELP!

On the chevy v6 engines it real comon to have intake leaks.I would try spraing carb cleaner around the intake while the car is running and see if it changes the way it runs.If it does that is your problem.If the intake has a leak it will **** extra air in and cause a missfire.

How long since overall tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes?
The basics for a rough idle, check for a leak of some kind, fuel--egr--vacuum, something of that nature. Does it run ok off-idle?

You should have posted BEFORE throwing parts at it.
More likely to be CTS (yellow wire, black wire) I believe by therm hsg on your car.

check with timming light to c if jumped timming,it needs to be at least 1000rpms to run right

The engine may have a intake vacuum leak. A defective O2 sensor has no effect on engine idle or performance.

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like a faulty voltage regulator, it"s 1 unit with the alternator, change the alternator, also the alt. supplies juice to the ignition switch, distributor abd plugs, thus a rough idle due to bad alternator.

It will probably be sticking throttle linkage, or a faulty idle control sensor.

OBD does not control, an idle logic circuit does, Disconnect the battery and let it relearn idle speed, it has fuzzy logic capability, so it learns your driving habits.
