I have a 2007 GMC Sierra 3500HD w/Navigation and my problem is the radio goes into seek or scan (not sure which) whenever I start the vehicle or try to adjust anything utilizing the steering wheel controls ie. volume, channel up or down, etc.....
Any ideas would be appreciated!

no they just go out they are little single L E Ds inside radio and controls on the steering wheel. As for the dashboard some of the light can be replaced with bulbs but there is also LEDs in there as well. Hope it helps

Yes u do....I have an 03 sierra and apparently they changed everything in 03.....the harness is over $100.....but u need it....and they dont sell a reg wiring kit from 03 and up....if it was an 02, then yes u could get away cheap......it has to do with the steering wheel switches

if i turn my cruise control on the light comes on on the sterring wheel but it wont set

I would say the problem is inside the radio itself. I have no idea if anyone repairs these units anymore or if any good used ones are available.
