This is a VERY common problem in GM vehicles. There is an anti theft security system installed in your car. When there is a communication break in this system, the computer switches off the starter thinking that somebody is trying to steal the car. Is there a light that says SECURITY on the dash when you turn the key forward 2 clicks? If you see this light at all, this is most likely your problem. Check out this link for a full description, and some DO IT YOURSELF options to fix this problem forever. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/
