P0456 is a small (.002") leak in the evaporative system most common problems are gas caps and purge valves. however there are many other places that can leak (cracked hoses, leak detection pump fuel tank or lines, vent valve, just to name a few)

SOURCE: 2004 Mazda RX8 Power Steering not working and light on.

I would check your power steering fluid level first. If it's full your power steering pump is bad.

Check to see if you are getting fuel to the engine. If not replace the pump relay. Then change the pump if still not working.Check for spark at the wires if you have no spark then change the crank sansor. If still no spark then change the coil pack.

SOURCE: Replaced the battery and connector on a 2004 Mazda

Did it all work before, or is this the reason you replaced the battery? is there a antitheft problem? does it have a key fob? does it work? Check all fuses? Did you start it and only let it run 1-2 minutes then shut the car off, they are bad about flooding if you run them and shut it off before fully warmed up. IE backing the car outside, them turning it off to wash it.

2004 Mazda RX-8. How do I fix my car and could you send a engine manual for my 2004 rx8.

Question edited for full 'year make model' in that order.
Question moved to correct category.

Service manual in the link, but for your electrical problem, you will need a mobile auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose the issue.

If this is a Mazdfa rx8 with a rotary motor then it will probably be as it is supposed to be unless it is turbo powered in which check out the turbo operation. Rotary engines do not have power under 3000rpms as they need to be spinning before the torque range cuts in. The rx8 had a 13b engine and the latest version of the engine had as much power as a standard v8 above 4000rpms and reved to close on 11000 rpms

Just recently bought a 2003 Mazda RX8. Everything fine until I came to set of traffic lights about 10 miles from home and the engine stalled and I could not re-start it. Got towed home and then tried the...

You say he removed the fuel pump fuse? Do you mean he changed the fuse? The fuel pump can't work without the fuse. Perhaps the fuse is blowing and causing the engine to stall and not restart. Find the fuel pump relay and swap it with another relay of the same type. Make sure the fuel pump fuse is good. If the engine starts, drive it around close to home until you think it's had time to stall out again. If it down'nt stall this time then the relay is bad and needs to be replaced.

My Mazda RX8 2004

I will never buy a mazda again. They have bad transmissions and engines. What is worse they use the same parts as Ford. How in the world do you combine a japanese and american parts into one engine? It keeps breaking down, thats what happens. I would ride it out since you are already gettin an engine but if you haven't purchased it, sell it and put that money towards another car, the dealer has used you like a gold digger.
