I had a car alarm/remote start/lock system installed in my car a few months back after having been broken into and stolen more than once. The problem now is that I often come out to the car to find that is already unlocked. I have actually witnessed another person's remote inadvertently unlocking my car and have even come out to find the car already running. The installer looked it over and said he could find no problem with it and yet the problem continues. Anyone have any experience like this with a Compustar car security system?

Most car alarm securty systems can be silenced by inserting key into door lock and cycle it. Runs of a simple switch that's attached to lock cylinder.

i have a 2002 vw cabrio and won't start after i took out the battery everbody is telling me that anti-theft is lock mode how do i rest it so i can start my car

replace remote battery to make sure, but if alarm is activated it continous to chirp the alarm or if your alarm system is set by the manufacturer try to relearn the program, if all fuse are ok, and your remote lock/unlock is work, check for lose ground connection, if remote is not working, replace the battery then try to do this. swtch ignition in 10 seconds to on-off-on-off-on-off-on-off-on wait 30 seconds, press any button of the remote once, turn igniton off, after 30 seconds start the car, if not go to the nearest service center to check the troublecodes

does this car have an aftermarket alarm system? it sounds like it does, as i dont ever recall seeing a blue flashing light in one of these cars. do you have an alarm / auto start remote control? try locking / unlocking the car several times with the remote, if it has a remote start try starting it with the remote a few times. try locking / unlocking the car with the key. good luck!

battery of car is zapped of energy...not sure if alarm system to blame, after driving it for a few minutes..clock and radio display lights turn off, horn can barely be heard...sometimes, motor shuts down completely. have had to put in 2 new batteries in just a matter of 2 months?...any idea what this may be?

You can take a new transponder key(s) (dealer issue for current lockset) and remote(s) (ebay) to the dealer for a complete reprogram. Whomever stole your original will still be able to get in your car, but will not defeat the alarm system nor be able to start the car. The alternative is to replace the locksets as well and nobody has the cash for that.

try locking and unlocking the car with the key 3 times slowly ,other than that i have no idea ?? another trick is to disconnect battery and join the cables together for a few minutes to discharge any capacitors that may be holding a charge in the computer..Only other thing i can think of is the main dealers who have the right connectors and software to re set it all .sorry i havent been of any help
