I changed the sparkplugs in the 2003 Nissan Altima and cleaned out the throttle body with some cleaner and now the car idles at 1500 rmp and then starts jumping up and down at idle from 500 to 2000 rpm. What caused this and what do I do to fix it?
MAKE SURE WHEN YOU PLUGGED THE SPARK PLUGS IN THAT YOU GOT THEM IN THE RIGHT FIREING ORDER,ALSO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR THROTTLE BODY IS OPERATING NORMALY WATCH IT WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING TRY MOVING THE THROTTLE BODY ROD BY HAND
Throttle bodies on altima 2.5l engine do not have throttle rods. They work off the computer in the car. They also don't have TPS sensors on the T.B.I. it's on the gas pedal.
Yes, Mr. john throttle valve operating through computer.. is there any sensor ?? to clean might be some rust during deposit on sensor mouth..?? is there any possibilty??
