99 deville that wont start because security light on and car wont start now

you cant disable the unit.. it is integral with the engines computer.. turn the key to the on position and leave it for 10 minutes.. the security light should stop flashing in 10 minutes or so , when it does , start the vehicle.. if it is a recurring problem , replace the ignition lock cylinder as it is a common problem with these cars.

If you have the owners manual, or if you can get one for that specific model, you should be able to look up the alarm system and find out how to (if possible) disable the alarm temporarily. My other suggestions are as follows: 1. Check your battery terminal connections: make sure they are clean and secure; also, if possible, put some terminal grease on them to prevent corrosion, rust and acid build up. Check the connection to your starter as well as your ground to the frame/chassi/block, whichever it's grounded to. Some vechiles have a smaller ground wire that runs from the main ground on the batter to the body, next to the radiator somewhere or possibly on the side firewall. Check that all connections are clean, and secure. You may just have a bad ground which is a common problem in automotive electrical issues. More likely it is the spark plugs and the engine is mis-firing... take them out and check them

OK, i had this problem with my 99 maxima 6 month ago and i made new key at the dealer (150 $) , and the problem was gone for few months, but 2 months a go the same problem is back and i dont know what to do (the car stars after i try few times) and it drives with the security light on ????
