The car start to shutdown once below 1/2 a tank. It will not restart until gas is added. If it happens to restart after the initial stall the cars then idles really rough

Hi, Joe here The problem sounds like a faulty crankshaft position sensor. The sensor is located on the transmission bell housing on the left side. Can be accessed threw the top of the engine near the firewall.

is it fly by wire or does it have a throttle cable ,if fly by wire change the sensors on the pedal
When the check engine light is turned on by the powertrain control module (computer) a fault code is stored to record what it is that caused the fault, in order to begin the process of diagnosis of this problem you have you must have the control module scanned for the stored codes.
