I have looked everywhere and also went to my 2 of my parts suppliers and there is only one knock sensor for your vehicle. Below are pictures right out of my Nissan Factory Service Manual and it does only list 1 knock sensor. If you have any questions or need any testing procedures feel free to email me at [email protected]. and I will send what I have.
Hello the sensor is located under your intake manifold you will need to remove the intake manifold to gain access to it here is photos of what and where your looking for this
very labor intensive repair.not for a novice. its under the lower intake. way down deep. You dont realy need to replace it unless your xterra is supercharged.
V6 3.3L The sensor is located underneath the air intake manifold on top
of the engine block. This should take an experienced mechanic about 3-4
hours to replace.

Hope this help (remember rated this free help) Good luck.
It's the valley of the engine underneath the intake manifold. It's about an $800 job because the top of the engine has to come off. However, unless you have a supercharged xterra it shouldn't effect performance. Also, the knock sensor will not trip the check engine light, as it does not indicate a primary problem, so if your light is on you should have another code that should be fixed first.
