Broken door handle - 2001 Nissan Quest SE

I see that you had information on fixing a 2001 Nissan Quest door handle that you were going to email to someone else. I'm wondering if you would be able to do the same for me? Is this something that a female who doesn't work on cars normally would be able to handle? Unfortunately, with the below 0 weather we have had the doors had been freezing frequently and I (am 5'1, 110 lbs and not that strong)somehow broke it off while trying to open it. My husband is quite frustrated and I'm not willing to pay hundreds of dollars for this. I would appreciate any help you may have to offer. Thank you.

I have the same problem, the drivers front and both passenger sliding doors froze up during an ice storm, and broke when trying to open. We are mechanically challenged! The price of door handles for the three was almost 600 dollars, just for the parts alone. With a grandbaby to put in the back in the car seat at times, and my husband a struggling student/computer geek who doesn't know a screwdriver from a hammer, we are in TROUBLE!

I have also broke off my 2001 Nissan Quest sliding door handle on the driver side. Also the sliding door cannot be opened from interior... Any help is appreciated... Thanks

the child lock rod may have been extended...
open the driver side door, and with a skinny finger, push that child lock rod back in towards the rear of the sliding door
use the passenger side as reference
once you pushed it in, you can now open it from the inside handle
