The thermostat on the 2001 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2L v6 is located on the top of the engine under the upper intake manifold. In order to replace it you will have to depressurize the fuel system by running the engine with the fuel pump fuze removed until the engine dies and then carefully remove the fuel rail and injectors. Then remove the intake manifold which will give you access to the coolant nozzle fixture attached to the top of the engine. The thermostat is in the top of the engine block under the nozzle fixture. Be sure to replace the thermostat with the proper replacement part (may be difficult to find) and put on new gaskets for the intake manifold before replacing it.

My lower radiator hose collapses when I rev my engine the there is no thermostat in it. It is Isuzu rodeo3.2 engine

It is a BAD idea to run a car without a thermostat. A thermostat brings the car up to operating temp in a certain range. If the engine never gets warm, the rings never seat against the cylinder walls and the car will run very badly. If any radiator hose collapses while running the car, the vent on the radiator cap is plugged up. Replace the Radiator cap and the thermostat and if needed have the radiator cleaned out and use a proper mix of anti-freeze Isuzu recommends.

Install the thermostat and fill and bleed the coolant sys

Thermostat can only go one way, toward the intake/block/
motor etc

You leave the filler cap or rad cap off, until the thermostat
opens, then replace it & overfill the coolant or degas bottle
an inch or so

Isuzu 280 td 4x4

check for a cracked or blown head gasket? Or flush the system and FYI, rule of thumb on thermostats is 3 out of 5 off the shelf are bad. so may have a defective thermostat. You can drop the stat in a pan of boiling water and watch it to see if it opens up. if it does, its good.

Or water pump.

You did not mention the thermostat, which is the second thing to check after making sure the cooling system is full of liquid.

Please tell me where locate the theromostat in

The thermostat is located inside the thermostat housing. To find it follow the upper radiator hose to the engine block.
Depending what size of engine you have the location is different.
The thermostat on this vehicle's (the Envoy & Trailblazer are essentially the same vehicle) In-line 6 cylinder engine is on the driver's side of the engine, below & behind the alternator.
If you have a V8 cylinder engine is in front of engine see the picture. Item 303 thermostat housing, 305 thermostat, and 304 thermostat gasket.

Replace thermostat on isuzu axiom

I just had a garage replace my thermostat on my 2002 Isuzu Axiom. The book calls for 2 hrs labor, no way. iI took the garage more like 5 hrs plus, they ate the additional 3 hrs of labor. Note, the intake manifold must be removed and even then special tools are needed because it is still buried deep down. The garage took pictures ot this one because of how ridiculours Isuzu designed the location.
