SOURCE: 99 dodge ram 3500 5.9 turbo diesel fuel problem

It is my understanding that the fuel lft pump has been replaced( updated) and is now gone back to the old way and is re installed in the tank.

I have had to put 3 lift pumps in since new, little did I know but Cummins tells me that the lift pump delivers minimal pressure and shortens the life of your injector pump.

So if that is true perhaps it is best to eliminate the lift pump and go with the new in tank pump. I plan on doing it the next time I have a problem.

SOURCE: Where is Fuel Relay for 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel Truck

it doesn't have a fuel pump relay it has a fuel pump control unit and it is located on the chassis back quarter drivers side near the tube cross member for chassis on top of chassis rail near bed mount. locate the rear springs front perch and it will be above that on top of rail.

hope this helps. good luck and please ask any question you have.

Testimonial: "Thanx for info..no wonder I couldn't find Relay! "

courier%20injector%20pump%20inlet%20filter.jpg Undo the fuel inlet Banjo bolt and carefully fish with a piece of wire bent at the end (as pictured) and fish out the filter (under the spring) wash and replace. Can be very fiddly, so patience is a must.a2cb1b7.jpgecc55b3.jpg

SOURCE: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch

typical problem, replace the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) it is located directly opposite of the throttle cables on the throttle body. 2 bolts save the bolts for the love of god SAVE THE BOLTS they are "trilobal" and come verry much in handy later. but it is an easy 10 minute fix and if my memory is correct they are torx head bolts from factory.

Daewoo leganza wont rev past 2800 rpm idles fine just wont rev past 2800 ?

In park, this could be normal. ECU does this. around 2800 to 3500 RPMs. If driving, have the codes read. No codes , could be a clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump(have the pressure checked), or clogged catalytic converter/s. With no codes, something is restricted..

Brake pedal stuck down

Pull the pedal back up as the problem is air in the system. You may have to do this until the air starts to move out of the system. IT would be advisable to prime the master cylinder before fitting it as this overcomes the problem of trying to get the cylinder to pump up.

Engine starts and idles fine, but will not rev up (2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.1 diesel auto)

If it was a fuel shortage the engine would rev but to limited speed. This is a lack of air to throttle body. Check for clogged air filter and all the piping and the throttle body.

We have a 2001 Dodge Diesel 3500. For 3 yrs and several mechanics, it has intermittently (quite often now) lost power when driving, especially when pulling a trailer. We have had 2 pumps replaced, sensors...

High probability it is Throttle Pedal Assembly fault. Very common problem. Throttle is not reporting to ECU so the throttle ( Accelerator.) does not rev up the engine.

If the pedal checkes out on a scan test, you might need a Crank Sensor....another high failure component although somewhat cheaper then the T/P..

If you would like to know more about this problem.....Google " Dodge Dead Pedal Syndrome."
