They are under the plastic covers on top of the motor. Remove the covers and you will see them. Do one at a time.

Where are the spark plugs

Locate the spark plug wires in the Cherokee cylinder head. In the 4.0 liter engine, the spark plugs are below the coil rail assembly. On the 4.7 liter engine, the spark plugs are located under each corresponding engine coil.

04 jeep grand cherokee 4.7 v8. I changed 7 spark plugs with ngk plugs could not get to the 8th passenger side firewall plug. engine seems to missfire upon startup for 30 seconds or less then runs smooth...

Change the pcv valve this will cause problems. You can get the eighth plug, put the socket on the plug and use a wrench that fits the socket to get it loose or out. It's a pain but necessary.

What is most important maintenanace service at 30,000 miles for 2006 Jeep GC HEMI V8? is it spark plugs? Any suggestions?

the most important (in my opinion) is changing the transmission fluid( transmissions for those cost about $4,000.00 to replace) its supposed to be changed every 30,000 miles. ( spark plugs can last up to 100,000 miles before needing replaced.)

Where are the spark plugs located in a 4.7 2001 grand cherokee?

On the 4.7 V8 engine, each individual spark plug is located under each ignition coil.
Prior to removing spark plug, spry compressed air around base of ignition coil at cylinder head. This well help prevent fireing material from combustion chmber.

Review your Service Manual for Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee.
