One month ago I had the spider injector and upper plenum gasket replaced on my Chevy. It still never worked right after the repair. Highly noticeable vibration when stopped. I called shop and they never returned calls. One week ago as I was driving to work, billowing white smoke was emitting from the tailpipe. I was close to work and parked. When I went to drive at end of day, it would not start. I had it towed AAA to another repair shop. They said the engine had frozen up. Blazer had no loss of oil. It has 150,000 mile on it. Is it possible or not possible engine failure due to repair that had been done? Thanks for your replies!

IT IS NOT GOING INTO NEUTRAL. IT HAS LOST THE DIRECT DRIVE CLUTCH PACK INTERNALLY. SOUNDS LIKE IT IS HIGH MILEAGE. IF SO AND YOU CHANGE THE FLUID IT CLEANS UP ALL THE VARNISH IN THE TRANNY AND THE END RESULT IS TRANNY MALFUNCTIONS DEPENDING ON WHAT KIND OF CARE IT HAS HAD IN THE PAST.

It is the Wiper Motor causing the Problem and will need to be Replaced. They could have caused it by Bumping the Wiper Motor Casing when replacing the Hood or when Working on the Motor. Please Rate my Response, I need all the HelpI can get! Thanks!
SOURCE: '96 Chevy Tahoe won't start
i had similar problem. hard to start in morning but once started, would start everytime until next morning. i changed fuel pump, filter, fuel pressure regulator, coil, cap, rotor, pickup coil, battery. i was finally told the '96 had a recall on the fuel injection assemby. i changed that out with the new mpf system and it solved the problem. runs like a striped ape. hope this helps.
