2003 Ford escape has a series of 5 beeps 5x every 30 mins

Trying to confirm that the error code of B1881 can be fixed with this part number 4L8Z-78610E22-A. Is that the Buckle Jumper Harness? If so is it hard to replace? Ford estimated a cost of $693.00!! That particular part/kit is $27!

The Ranger has the same problem. The light in your Passenger side air bag interlock is burned out. You can buy the new light for pennies but you have to solder it in.

When you turn key on check if airbag light on instrument cluster comes on. 5 beeps is the tone to let you know your airbag light in instrument cluster is inop..

SOURCE: headlight went out in 2003 ford escape i have

you have to remove the whole headlight assembly, then pop off the front cover pull the old bulb out and put the new one in. reverse the process to re-install. there is a small plastic tab on the topfront of the headlight assembly, that is what you need to release to get the clear cover off and get inside.

Same as the Ford Ranger. The Airbag Interlock for turning the Passenger side air bag off has a burned out light. You can dismantle this unit and replace the light with one from ford but it has to be soldered in place.

Recently, my car started beeping. The sound comes from the dashboard (somewhere) and there are no indicator lights on anywhere (Check engine, battery, oil, etc). Upon starting the car, a long beep begins...

It could be a fault code being reported
you haven't mentioned a make or model
take it to an accredited service center that has experience on the make and discuss the problem with them

Airbag light has started flashing then came on this is the first time we have had an issue with this. after flashing the light stays on.

get the code, but my guess is it\'s the seat belt pre-tensioner connectors. There is a TSB to replace them on both seats at the same time. Not a recall so not covered under warranty. Please rate highly if this helps.

RESTRAINT SYSTEM - SAFETY BELT BUCKLE AND PRETENSIONER DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) B1877 AND/OR B1881
FORD:
2001-2004 Escape

This article supersedes TSB 04-24-4 to update the service procedure.
ISSUE:
Some 2001-2004 Escape vehicles may exhibit an intermittent air bag lamp on and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1877 and/or B1881. This may be caused by a variation in the electrical continuity between the pins of the driver and/or passenger side wiring harness and the buckle pretensioner connector. If this condition were to occur, the air bag system remains fully functional.

ACTION:
Install a replacement harness connector kit ON BOTH the driver and passenger safety belt buckle pretensioners, even if the DTC is present for only one side. The kit includes improved connector halves to replace the existing connectors on both the body harness and the safety belt buckle pretensioner.
One kit is required per side (2 kits per vehicle). Refer to the instruction sheet included in the kit for complete repair procedure.
