SOURCE: 1993 XJ6: how do you remove the 1993 jaguar xj6 radio?...

You pretty much have to start at the ashtray and work forward making note of what you are taking out as you go. Remove the knobs of course, retaining screws that would be in place as keepers as well. As you get ready to remove the ski slope, there will be keeper screws in place with plastic loops that will break if you are not careful and 2 plastic wingnuts roughly where the ashtray meets the ski slope but underneath and out of sight unless you are looking for them. Once the ski slope is out of the way, its pretty straightforward but there are a lot of wires with terminals that are unique to the radio and jags......you can probably splice things if you need to.....but there are a lot of splices to do and then fitting things back will get more cramped and difficult.

I need the master key for the radio in my jaguar xj6 1993

Dealer will supply it for either very little or no charge if you prove to them you own the car. You will need the VIN and they may require a faxed copy or your phone call may be good enough for them. Keep in mind they will give you the code for the original radio for that car....

Inireland with 97 jaguar xj6 cant find radio code

This is easy, contact Jaguar UK give them the VIN, be prepared to provide two pieces of proof of ownership and they will help you out. I have found Jaguar US to be most cooperative.

1991 jaguar xj6 RADIO couldn't turn ON! The radio can't turn its power on by the switch, the security indicator keeps flashing all the time no matter the switch is "ON" or "OFF". the fuses are good and the relays that I COULD find (in the trunk for the antenna) are good as well. I have power GOING to the radio from all indications but it doesn't come on or flash CODE for me to enter, which I do have. Is there something I'm missing or is the radio just shot? Also I found no fuse on the radio it's self. Is there some SIMPLE fix out there? Or should I START SHOPPING?
Thanks.

Getting E-1 error message for radio

Well I had a 1990 Xj6 with an aftermarket cd-changer in the trunk and it didn't work, so when I took it to an audio specialist he said that it needed to be replaced. But what he did say is that most manufactures use the same connection cables for their products, ex. Sony plugs will work on all Sony cd-changers. I now have a 1994 Jaguar XJ6 and I have the same error code. I know that Jaguar installed Alpine CHM-S620 cd-changers. So in theroy you could go to an audio store and get the same cd-changer and it should have the same plugs so you wont need to rewire anything. I havent done it yet because I just bought the 1994.
