Pulled radio to connect XM direct connect to antena. When radio was put back in, radio will not work. Not getting power- not even clock on radio works.
Test electrical lines on radio connector, car is sending power to radio, but radio will not power on.
Tried pulling fuse as well as disconencitng battery to see if it would re-set radio. No Luck.
According to the owners manaul, there are two fuses- a 5 amp and a 10 amp that feed the radio. Both are located on the fuse panel by the left foot area.
I pulled them separate from each other. Worth trying them togethere or something else?

There are 3 fuses in the interior fuse panel that feeds radio.
no. 11(10amp) is ignition switch power to the radio it comes into radio on the TN/LB wire.
no. 27 (10amp) is hot at all times and comes in on OG/LG wire.
no. 12 (5amp) is hot in run or accessory and comes in on YE/BK wire.
Check these with 12V test light at fuse and at radio connector.
Check with Ford to see if there is a reset because of losing power. You may have to have them do a reset code. I've had bad luck with XM Direct Connect; the older XM radios had a stronger FM modulator that didn't require you to pull the radio.

Jeep grand cherokee ltd, 1996 The radio is not working, when I switch the power on the antena motor makes a noise although the antena is always up, there is no sound from the radio what so ever, it says WAIT 2 1/2 hours but nothing happens, no tape radio cd, switch the radio off the antena makes a noise then the radio switches off.
if the radio cant find a station when you push seek then this is an antena problen it may have simply pulled out the back of the radio do to vibration of the vehicle. this almost sounds impossible but it happens if this is not the case then you need to invest in a new radio
I have had this problem at least a half-dozen times, and the simplest solution is to pull the 2 fuses labeled 'audio 1' and 'audio 2.' It resets the radio, but it will work for a while after that (until I have to do it again). Had the xm unit replaced 3 times, new antenna installed, replaced the antenna connection wire - it always dies within a month.
Chances are the radio has an internl issue and requires replacement. The EQ draws power and inputs from the radio. A radio exchange is an easy process if you decide to put the sme radio back into your vehicle. Contact me if you need direction.
sounds to me like you need to check the continuity to ground on the power line for the xm, you may have a power to ground short or a loose wire in the xm harness
