Looking to replace my rear brakepads and need to decide between OEM or aftermarket pads. This is going to be done by a professional mechanic, not me, and the cost difference seems minimal but is even $50 worth it? My original pads wore out at 30k and seemed to grab too much in the first place. I feel like ceramic pads might be a better option and at a cheaper cost.
I replaced a brake light switch on 2005 Honda Odyssey. While driving, my brake locked. I have to stop the car and step on the brake several times to release the brake to continue to drive. What is the problem and it is easily to fix at home before I bring the car into the shop?
Ceramics are a great choice. I actually prefer them. The benefits are low dust, low discoloration of your wheels, less prone to noise and less prone to fading when the rotors get hot.
