Anti lock brake light is lite

Well there are many images that could be shown in your dashboard

ANTI-LOCK BRAKES LIGHT

BRAKE PADS WORN LIGHT

So it could be either of the two. I would take your car to a mechanic and have it checked out.

Without make, model, year, I'm going to throw out a general answer.

IF the anti-lock brake sensor wire(s) were damaged or disconnected during the brake replacement, THAT could be the problem.

Unhook the negative battery cable for a couple of hours, then reconnect. If the code comes back, you may have a bad abs wheel sensor.

When you are talking about "indicators" we could assuming that your are refer about signal lights. This work with "flashers" devices.

For 1996 Audi A4 2.8L SFI 6cyl the Flasher is located in front seating area, driver side, under dash, behind dash lower panel, mounted above driver side of steering column.

About generic fuses, open the driver side door. Remove panel on left side of dash. Fuse box is behind panel:

There is a malfunction in your anti-lock braking system. This is the reason they have vehicle inspections. Fix the brakes and the light will go out

also if you take you car to autozone and they can hook up the diagnostic handheld computer and clear the fault from the onboard computer thus this will clear the lights ok ?

The Light is on because the ABS system for your Anti-Lock Brakes has failed....the Brakes will still work...but the ABS wont...basically if you slam on the brakes... you will lock up your tires as if it were an older model car before ABS came out. The most probable cause is a wheel sensor that "Counts" the notches on the wheel axle near the knuckle has failed. Could just be dirty...mis-adjusted or broken.i would need more details to determine the exact cause. Hope this helps.

The anti-lock light is indicating that your anti-lock brake system has a problem. Check fluid level. Could be a sensor, time for brake service etc, but I wouldn't wait too long to have it checked, just in case something serious. Anti-lock brake problems may cause a wheel or more, or all, to lock up in a panic stop situation. When was last service on brakes done?

It is most likely a bad front wheel speed sensor.Your sure abs rings were on back of rotors?It is going to be next to impossible to fix without getting the code with a scanner
